About Us
Our Ministry Vision
"THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion--to give them an ornament of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit--that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
Isaiah 61:1-3 (Amplified Bible)
Our Ministry Values:
As a ministry, these are the values that shape and guide us:
We value Spiritual Leadership. We strongly believe in being led by the Holy Spirit and in leading by the Spirit. We are committed to team ministry and are unified to fulfill God's purpose in the prisons where we serve.
We value Authenticity. We believe that our volunteers must practice openness, honesty and integrity. Prisoners deserve to see and experience genuineness that is alive and real. We are a group that possesses what it professes so we daily walk out our Breakthrough* training.
We value People. We believe that prisoners are important to God and therefore they are important to us. Inmates must be shown they are significant and accepted. We must treat them with the same unconditional love, kindness, care, and patience as He does with us.
We value Team Unity. We believe that when we minister in unity that God will bless us. Jesus said that all people will know we are his disciples if we love one another. Therefore, we choose not to be offended by others and we commit to working through conflicts and challenges as they arise. Jesus prayed for His followers to become one, just as He and the Father are one. We will have no agenda but God's agenda. We commit to being gracious and patient when things don't go as planned. We will see to become one in purpose and fellowship, while remaining many parts in practice.
We value Radical Transformation. We believe that God can radically transform prisoners through the power of His Spirit. We are merely instruments to assist inmates in radical and lasting life transformation.
